as i sit here

wasting time on what is probably man's greatest invention...

i got to thinking.

and then i freaked out and stopped myself cuz i started to feel like fucking Marlow. O.O

lit today ate me. alive. and i screamed and screamed but no one seemed to hear me. and lit certainly didnt care. gobbled me up without batting an eyelash.

the horror indeed.

pocket full of sunshine

so i've had that song in my head.

and i dont know the lyrics. only that one line "i've got a pocket, got a pocket full of sunshine... ooowoaaaah"

dont you hate when that happens?

well it's been a while since i have updated...

saturday was kind of busy, but then there were random boring bits.

woke up and drove my parents to long beach port... its' really confusing there. i didnt follow the signs as well as i should have, so i'm sure that a lot of people were frikken pissed at me... but its ok. i didnt hit anyone... maybe just cut some people off. :/

drove home by myself (i wont see them again for a week! T-T i need someone to help me with a video thing and sending it to my parents somehow.... if anyone knows anything about technological stuff stuffs.)

took my brother to hakwon
came back home and ate lunch.
picked him up from hakwon.

started to listen to the canterbury thing. dude. they have the best accents. i wish i was british.

took my brother to his guitar recital. he did really good for his first recital ever. it was cute, he kept saying how nervous he was. hahahah. and his hands were all sweaty and like yeah. hahahah. but yeah, there were a bunch of really cute little kids. ohmaigoshness. SO CUTE. with their mini guitars for small people and... awwwwwwwwwwww! ^^ there was also this kind of loud toddler in the audience, and for the first guy he was like "let's go! you can do it!" and when the teacher was like, who's next? the kid said "ME!" hahaha it was cute.
anyways, sat there for like three hours. they had yummy pizza and refreshments. i felt refreshed. except my brother brought perrier to drink cuz he thought it was ginger ale. it wasnt. we dont like carbonated water. blegh.

thennnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.
came home and asked sayo to come over and jacuzzi with me. she came at like seven, we chilled and talked and marveled at the steam that came off our feet when we stuck them out of the water. i jumped from pool to jacuzzi a couple of times cuz i was getting overheated. it was nice, even though there were weird college kids smoking and drinking and stuff overhead.

sayo and i got hungry, so we came back to my house and dried off (i took a really fast shower) and made neoguri ramen. it was yummy. sayo even ate it with kimchi even though she doesnt eat spicy food! so proud! ^^

watched blues brothers. which was fun. they're so unfazed by everything. hahaha "We're on a mission from God."

then sayo went home and i finally talked to john after like.. two days of not knowing if he was alive or not.

sorry for the hiatus once again. i'm sure you missed me as much as i missed all of you.

britain's got.... ugly people

it's an undeniable fact. (i'm sure everywhere else has a lot of ugly people too, but over there it's just more stereotyped.)

yesterday i woke up and forced myself to go to school. did the whole learning thing (or pretending to learn). perhaps i'll mention some highlights since no one talks about their day in depth anymore.

mmmm...

OH. i ate a chocolate majigger in gov because Greg Jones won the price is right game and shared his wealth.

had a drill thing... walked to the blacktop after chilling under the table for a bit.
bought a bracelet from trisha cuz i felt bad for her.

mmmm... watched mythbusters in physics. that was fun ^^ oh those mythbusters. they have such fun with explosions and toys. i totally could see alex being like them when he's older. like... just finding joy in things like hovercrafts and elevators being dropped.

and then... i hung out at sayo's for a bit. we got Rugalah. not Arugula, which is green and leafy and probably vitaminy, but Rugalah, which is sugary and buttery and probably fat-y. yum.

took my brother to hakwon, came home and watched cupid. (i think its going to become one of my regular shows. ^^ i love that show. it makes me feel good.) loafed for a while. ate dinner with family and then walked over to sayo's.

studied math despite more than one distraction. ate padthai and got irrevokably distracted. brain got fried and i took the wrong partial and tried to integrate and did it WRONG. T-T but that's to be expected.

audrey's mommy dropped me off at home while we tried to convince audrey to come to berkeley with me. the best school ever. ever. if you're reading this audrey. ever. like.. seriously. sooo cool. only cool people go there. cool people. like me. and you. ever.

and then watched britain's got talent for like two hours. hahaha. those brits. i think simon cowell is much nicer to people from his homeland. unless american idol forces him to be mean for the sake of ratings. in any case he was a lot nicer. not a lot. but noticeably so. saw some crazy stuff, and some cool stuff, and some really good stuff.

awwwwwwwwwww yeeeeyuh. lol that was random.

then john called and we talked for a bit until we got sleepy and then i went zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

onward!

on to monday!

(sunday stuff happened, but not a lot)

monday....

woke up... alex arrived while i was about to take a shower, so he fell asleep on my couch while i got ready.
did some research while people arrived, got directions and gave music to alex. audrey played piano, andrew ate fatty muffins, and sayo giggled ^^ john arrived, changed, and we were off!
droooooooooooove to santa monica. didnt get lost too badly, but there was a bit of traffic. scared john a couple times... but i got this yo. found parking... walked around and stuffs. went into famima, ate some stuffs. went into z gallerie. omg. that couch. soooo comfy.

proceeded to urban, then on to pinkberry (five dollar bathroom break yo. damn.), also went to h&m... only place anyone bought anything.
went down to the beach. john found a top. ^^ there was a cool mold thingie that would give you the layout of LA if you rolled it across the sand. i wanted to roll it. i dont think it's possible/allowed though.
walked to the water, which was really pretty and clean! and the sand was nice. buried alex's feet. =] saved a ton of lady bugs. they were all wet. and john thinks they have ugly faces. maybe even fugly faces.
walked back to the car (people bought pretzels and things along the way).
drove to lacma, got lost and there was traffic.
browsed through and saw fantabulous art. i got super excited at the maze thing. like suuuuuper excited. i started rolling on it. ^^
japanese art is great, and i like the horizon one. diamond canvas with blue half and white half.
and i want to get a giant balloon dog.
then went to ethiopian food. JOHN IS AN AMAZING PARKER. lol. ^^ that food was exciting too. although i think i was too tired to fully appreciate it. and my hands smelled like it forever.
then went to milk. i think i would cross the country for one of those brownie sundaes. it was fabulous.
then john drove us home and dropped everyone off. we were all dead tired. and so john almost fell asleep at my house. but he didnt. he went home. then fell asleep i assume. so then i fell asleep.

whew. i spent a lot of money that day. but it was fun. =] good birthday.

oh gosh

i'm eighteen now! oO;;

saturday was fun fun fun.

woke up and called peoples to tell them to come earlier...
called sayo and went over to her house to work out the grill sityation. that thingie actually fit in my car! ^^ craaaaaaazy! went to the park and found out that my daddy had been there since uber early in the morning. also, there was a tent. pwahahhaa. my auntie kept saying that whenever my family goes somewhere it's like we're moving. ^^ who else wants to live in the park with me? ^^

sayo and i waited and waited for people. we found a tarzan tree and a wedding hall and a stage (recited our shakespeare, we were actresses for a minute). walked down to the beach and then saw some oddly walking children headed our way. sabby and audrey were imitating a sign they saw of a woman walking with her arms out behind her and her chest thrust ahead. it was amusing.

walked back to the park for some hot dogs, which were piled with grilled onions, bell peppers, and mustard (we also found some in n out ketchup packets in the car). soooo good. i had two. actually i think everyone had two. then we wanted more, but my mom started yelling about how there would be really good food in a minute so we should wait. we sat and sunscreened our selves. then ate. omg. it was delicioso. my cousin came and brought candy, which melted :[

went back to the sand and played twister. i failed. hahaha. shared a towel with sayo until the other kids went back to eat corn, then i took over audrey's towel. somehow we got splitted up... but we met up again for churros.

got a call saying we should hurry back since people are waiting for us so they can leave.

powerwalked back up the hill and got sung to. caked. people left, one by one. played some games under a million blankets. packed up in record time and then loaded everyone into a bajillion cars. dropped the grill off at sayo's. came home and ate some more (strawberries! chips! dip! yum!) and watched catch me if you can. forgot how fun that movie is.

people left again... and i fell asleep.

Re: Plannnns

so.
saturday at 1:00.
at redondo beach (specifically veteran's park).
My parents have promised a large tarp covered in sleeping bags and pillows and a small tent. this should equate coziness and make up for a lack of bonfireness.... i hope.
they also promised lots of food and drinks.
be prepared to meet my extended family (most of them) and be evaluated by them (last time, they told audrey that her face was full of joy. they're nice, dont be scared. but it could get awkward).
oh and my parents request that you guys bring some outdoorsy type things. think... frizbees, bikes, balls, etc. in fact i'll make a list of things that it would be nice/smart for you to bring.

to bring:
-towel
-change of clothes (basically so we can throw you into the ocean)
-ice cream money (if you wish)
-empty tummy... or mostly empty. starvation is bad
-sunscreen. i always forget this, and it turns out to be an important thing. remember how bright red my arms were after the garage sale?! oO;;

and since we have a to bring list.. we need a not to bring. just for the yin and yang.
not to bring:
-any overt present type thing. if we havent had this discussion already you can come talk to me.
-porn. this is a family get together... let's keep it pg-13 at least
-wild animals. i'm not sure how they'd react to the korean food. (domestic animals are welcome, my mommy loves doggies)<---NOT to eat! oO;;
-weapons... sorry kids... but i dont think getting fatally wounded is on the agenda.

uhm. yeah i think that's it... questions? comments? call 1-800-youhavemynumber. business hours are... always! ^^

felt like forever

so i met up with an old friend yesterday.

she's not old as in her age, but i havent seen her for a good three months.

she (jane) goes to cornerstone, which, if you dont recall, is where i used to go to church. We were like the only two senior girls and we were like best buddies. We always had really good talks, and i missed them.

so i picked her up from West and we went to corner bakery cafe. it's yummy there. i must go back to try some pastries. there were these cookies with mini m&ms ALL over them. to quote Jane, they were "overwhelming" ^^ afterwards we went to pinkberry and then i dropped her off at home.

overall, it was an interesting meeting. i can say with candor that it was pleasant to see her and talk to her again, and it was comforting to know that we were both in a place of.... frazzled-ness.

yet, it felt like so long since i had seen her. in fact it felt like years since i had seen her. So, there was that level of awkwardness that is unavoidable in situations like those.

but i had missed her and it was nice to get together again.

then i came home and crashed for a few hours. got a wake up call from audrey, which i snooze button-ed, got a wake up call from john, which was late.
did a mini freak out while i tried to get my ind. reading done... finished in fairly good time
had a college talk with some kids, and i still dont know what's going on with columbia yo. they are fruitcakes and they need to get their act together.
talked to my one and only for a while, but i was so exhausted that i couldnt even bring myself to make words... so he told me to get to bed.

and so i did.
